advert

The advert i have chosen to look at detail is a Nike advert, the advert shows what it would be like to become a professional footballer and the process you go through to become one. It is a good advert as it uses a first person view so you feel like you are part of the advert and makes you gain interest. This advert is a stand alone advert as it is not in a series as in an individual advert , also it is a famous faces as in the advert it shows some faces of famous footballers, such as Cesc Fabregas, Zlatan ibrahimovic and Cristiano Ronaldo, which are very successful footballers, therefore the target audience would be any who follows the sport or even wants to take participate in the future as it shows what the path you could go down if you are good enough at the sport. The advert uses a variety of angles when using the camera it uses close up shots of when they have the ball at their feet and then it uses a first person theme as it looks like you are the one in the advert. Due to this it does nto use any longshots  in which some ways is a good thing, the editiing is also at a very quick pace as it has alot of action in the advert

The advert does not provoke any emotional responses as it is about a sport being played and there is no situation in the advert which such an event does so, this advert also uses celebrity endorsement as it is a nike advert and they have payed famous footballers to wear their brand of clothing. the advert uses its brand identity and mot people associate the brand with being a major sport brand that is worldwide and the famous 'swoosh' logo is shown a lot in the advert in which people will recognise what brand is being shown. The only persuasive devices use is the correlation between the wearing the brand and being very good at sport, which persuades people to want to buy clothing form an equipment. The main camera angle they use is as if it seems like a first person view of the experience making it feel like the audience can go through the same process if they are wearing the brand.

Styles Of television Advertising

Advertisers use different methods to interest their particular targets and use different styles to appeal to different people.

One method used in advertisement is humour, when using humour if you make the audience laugh they will remember the advert as it has made them laugh, therefore many companies will use humour in their advertisement, for example Cravendale uses humour in one of their latest adverts in which the cats have thumbs, this makes it memorable as everyone knows hat cats do not have thumbs, but the advert shows what it could be like if they had thumbs,  the advert is very successful as many people remember it and makes many people laugh, the advert is shown below.

\

Another method used by advertisers is a parody, a parody is an advert that is mocking another advert or company. Companies use this to get many different reactions, one they want to make the crowd laugh, secondly they may want to beat their competition by mocking them and they can have people relate to it as they all know what company they are mocking. An example of a company that uses a parody advert is somersby cider. This is very successful as many people like this advert and remember it. This is shown below

Furthermore shock is another method used by advertisers, a shock an advert is advert that will shock the audience. Advertisers use this as if it shocks the audience they will most likely remember the advert and it will be stuck in their head. An example of a shocking advert is a flora advert where it can be in a sexual manor, which is inappropriate, this is shown below.

Surrealism is also another method used by advertisers, surrealism is when something is extraordinary and would never happen, advertisers use this as people would remember the advert as it is not something that would happen in every day life. An example of an advert that uses this is the oasis advert where the town gets invaded by a massive water hating duck, as shown below.

Repetition is also another method used by advertisers. repetition is when have the same advert or similar to each other played over again. An advantage of repetition is that the audience will remember it and will feel connected to the certain people in these adverts making them like the advert. An disadvantage of repetition is that it can sometimes get carried on for too long and the audience may find it annoying. An example of this would be the go compare advert, this is shown below

Another method used by advertisers is sex appeal. sex appeal is when their is an attractive person on the advert, this makes th audience interested if someone is attractive using the product.. The advantage of a sex appeal is that most people will remember it as the person on the advert t is attractive. The disadvantage is that it may distract the audience from actually concentrating on the product. an example of an advert that does this is spec savers, which is shown below
Finally the last method used by advertisers is famous people. The advantage of using famous people it makes the audience want to use the products as the famous people are using it. The disadvantage is that the product may be exaggerated as the famous people are using it. An example of a advert that uses famous people is icelands, shown below

Forms Of Television Advertising ,This provides evidence for: Unit 30:P1,M1,D1

In this blog i am going to to be talking about the different forms of television advertising. All forms of advertising have both advantages and disadvantages , i am now going to talk about each from of television advertising individually.

The first form of television advertising is realist narrative. A realist narrative is when the advert is ordinary and will happen in everyday life. Advantages of a realist narrative advert is that everyone can relate to it as it is something that happens everyday. An disadvantage of realist narrative is that the adverts can sometimes be very boring and hardly gains any interest from audience. An example of a realist narrative is Fairy Liquid washing up advert as shown below

The second form of television advertising is anti-realist. anti-realist is something that is ver surreal and does not ever happen i real life. The advantages of a anti-realist narrative is that the advert will be must likely be funny or very god and will intrigue the audience because of it being abnormal. However the disadvantage of an anti-realist narrative. An example of an anti realist advert is an advert from oasis called 'Rubberduckzilla', which is a giant duck invading a city because it doesnt like people drinking water, this is shown below.

The third form of television advertising is animation. Animation is using unreal figures in an advert. The advantage of this is that it is quite easy to do, and you can put the figures in any position you want, also it could appeal to a lot of people including children. the disadvantage of animation is that not everyone can relate as they may think it is meant for a young audience. An example of an advert that uses animation is Cravendale, as shown below

Another form of television is a documentary. Documentary adverts consists of the company using facts and diagrams to promote their product, with evidence and facts as of why its good. The advantage of a documentary is that it gives you a lot of information and uses stats to promote their product, the disadvantage is that they are very boring and the audience may not remember them as of this.  An example of that uses this is sensodyne, as shown below.

Another form of televison advertising is talking heads. Talking heads is when they have an advert of people talking about a product. The advantage of a talking heads advert is that it is straight to the point and contains a lot of information. the disadvantage of a talking heads advert is that it is very boring and may be forgotten easily due to this. An example of a talking heads advert is the orange advert as shown below.

Another form of television advertising is called standing alone. A standing alone advert is a one of advert that will not be in series and is random. The advantage of a standing alone advert is that it may be very funny and the audience will remember it, the disadvantage is that its not in a series and is very spontaneous. An example of an standing alone advert is the cadbury advert with 2 children moving their eyebrows to the music, as shown below.

Finally the last from of television advertisement is a 'series' . a series is which their are many adverts that are linked to each other and are connected, the advantage of this is that the audience gets a bond with the characters as they are in a series and see them in many different adverts, the disadvantage of a series is sometimes if the series is annoying the audience will not like the series. an example of a series is the compare the market adverts, as shown below.
